About the 2004 Neon SRT-4 Production Data

As with all Neon Registry reports, 2004 SRT-4 production numbers shown here are VIN-based, not sales or registration estimates. If a 2004 Neon SRT-4 was assigned a VIN, it is counted here, including pre-production, demo and test vehicles.

For 2004, a total of 127 Solar Yellow (PYH) SRT-4s were produced, carrying over this high-visibility launch color from 2003 into the second model year in very limited numbers.

2004 also introduced BP5 Electric Blue, a one-year-only SRT-4 color that did not return for 2005, making Electric Blue cars especially desirable to color-code collectors and registries.

Mechanically, 2004 marked the introduction of the Quaife limited-slip differential on the Neon SRT-4, significantly improving traction and corner-exit performance compared to early non-LSD cars.

The 2.4L turbocharged inline-four in 2004 SRT-4s was factory-rated at 230 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque, with many examples commonly dyno-testing at roughly mid-240s wheel horsepower in stock form, reinforcing the platform’s reputation for being underrated from the factory.
